Our data comes from NASA's VNP46A1 product — nightly radiance from the VIIRS Day/Night Band sensor aboard the Suomi NPP satellite, distributed via the LADSWEB archive. By tracking luminosity across municipalities, we build a proxy for economic activity, infrastructure health, and the impact of conflict on civilian life.
